Asturias, located in Northern Spain, is an area with several Atlantic ecosystems; coast, valley, mountain, forest… The mountain range of Cordillera Cantabrica, with wide oak and beech forest, is the habitat of bears, wolves and capercaillies. In the occidental sector, next to the wonderful Coto River is situated Vega de Horreo Hostel, where you can lodge and enjoy some days for the study and contemplattion of nature. You could know Muniellos Forest and Fuentes del Narcea Natural Park (both, Biosphere Reserve).  Ecotur organizes fieldtrips to learn of the bear and wolf habitats. In addition, due to the birds’ importance in this area, Europe has declared/constituted some ZEPAS. Get in touch with us for further information.
